XAware is a leading provider of commercial open source data integration software. Our Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based real-time data integration solution is used to rapidly build composite data services for Web 2.0 applications, Enterprise Mashups and provide other integration services. Our solution enables organizations to dramatically reduce the time it takes to integrate data from multiple systems and service-enable their data.

We are one of the fastest growing open source projects (XAware.org) and were recently listed as one of the top 100 projects on Sourceforge.net. Our community of users and partners is expanding rapidly as they recognize the benefits of using a powerful standards-based and cost effective solution for their data integration needs. XAware also provides comprehensive support and customers can choose from a variety of different subscription support offerings. Finally, in addition to our open source product XAware offers a commercial license with additional runtime management functionality.

Despite hundreds of billions of dollars invested in enterprise applications over the years, the majority of these applications fail to meet the ever changing business needs. Companies today need to keep up with fast changing business environment requirements, meaning that IT must manage disparate and complex data, maintain legacy value, ensure scalability, provide fast deployment, and facilitate required auditing and compliance demands.

The emergence of Service Oriented Architectures (“SOA”) has promised to help companies meet these challenges head on by:
  • Orchestrating legacy business components for new business requirements
  • Decoupling applications from data.
  • Leveraging legacy applications and organizing IT functions as business services
However, until now, SOA has failed to deliver its promise for one simple reason – it could not access and handle complex data, the lifeblood of any organization. As the diagram below illustrates, data components and XAware are at the core of a SOA Meta-Model:

  • Utilizing a ‘configure not code’ approach to build loosely coupled integration and data services for reuse.
  • 'Snapping-in’ to existing IT infrastructures and incorporating industry specific standards.
  • Accessing structured and unstructured data sources to standardize integrate and create re-usable business services.
