Bill Miller
Executive Chairman & CTO
Bill Miller currently serves as Executive Chairman & CTO of XAware. Miller founded StorageNetworks, Inc. where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Member of the Executive Committee, and Member of the Board of Directors, growing the company from its two-person founding team to more than six hundred employees, raising over $700 million in private and public equity financings, growing in three years to $127 million in 2001 sales. As CTO, Miller was responsible for the strategic direction of the company's service offerings, technology and software development. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Miller holds eleven U.S. patents.
Tim Harvey
Chief Executive Officer
Tim Harvey brings a rich history of experience to XAware. He most recently served as SVP of Sales and Marketing at S1 Corporation (NASDAQ: SONE), a leading global provider of enterprise software and services to the financial services industry. Prior to S1, Harvey spent six years with SynQuest, a Warburg Pincus funded supplier of Supply Chain management solutions. As President and COO, he helped manage the company's significant growth leading to an IPO in August, 2000 and subsequent merger. Additional experience includes executive and sales management roles with Datalogix (acquired by Oracle 1996) and MSA. Harvey graduated from the University of Florida with a BSBA in Finance and served four years as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.
Sean Dwyer
Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Sean Dwyer leads field operations for XAware. He most recently served as General Manager of the Community Financial Group and VP of Channel Sales & Alliances at S1 Corporation (NASDAQ: SONE), a leading global provider of enterprise software and services to the financial services industry. Prior to S1, Dwyer was with BEA Systems (acquired by Oracle) responsible for leading and managing the growth of their independent software vendor (ISV) relationships in the Southeastern United States. His software industry experience also includes several years with an early stage E-commerce company as Director of Business Development. In addition to Software, he has extensive experience in both the Investment Banking and Commercial Banking industries. Dwyer received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia.
Melissa Burkett
Vice President of Business Development
Melissa Burkett brings a wealth of technology experience in marketing, sales and management to XAware. Most recently she served as Vice President of Marketing at Innerwall, Inc., a leading early stage security software and services company, where she lead market strategy and execution, resulting in numerous awards and eventually an acquisition. As an enterprise software sales leader at TIBCO (NASDAQ: TIBX) software, she was consistently recognized as a top performer and vertical strategist. Her early career included founding a telecommunications startup and working for a Japanese trading company, NIssho Iwai trading steel products. Burkett received a BA in Economics with a minor in Japanese from Willamette University.
Kirstan Vandersluis
Chief Scientist
As a founder of XAware, Kirstan Vandersluis has been instrumental in developing and patenting XAware’s product suite. Vandersluis has extensive experience in software development spanning multiple industries, including DoD, semi-conductor, and telecommunications, where he has engineered the deployment of both corporate and commercial software products. Previously, Vandersluis was a software development manager and senior architect at MCI. As a published author of, "XML-Based Integration with XAware," Vandersluis often speaks publicly about XML-related technologies and XAware product strategies. Vandersluis holds a BS in Computer Science from Michigan and an MS in Computer Science from University of Colorado.
Patricia I. Shepherd
Vice President & Controller
Patricia Shepherd comes to XAware after many successful years in the non-profit sector. She has served in an Executive Management capacity for more than 18 years. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. Prior to that she was the Executive Director of Wheelchair Sports, USA, a member organization of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Shepard earned an MBA from the University of Colorado; Colorado Springs, with an emphasis on Finance. She also holds a BSBA with an emphasis in Organizational Management and Human Resources from the University of Colorado.
